Responsibility
For us, behaving like entrepreneurs means acting responsibly!
As a company, we assume responsibility. For our employees, for the society in which we live and of course for our environment. Health, family, promotion of new talent, sustainability: we are fully committed to all of these important matters to help shape a future worth living!
We are more sustainable. Because we are constantly working on ourselves.
We are more sustainable. Because we are constantly working on ourselves.
For us, acting sustainably and responsibly is an integral part of our corporate identity. We aim to keep advancing Julius Berger International in all aspects of ESG management. That is why we asked EcoVadis, a globally recognised provider of sustainability ratings, to evaluate our measures and processes in the required areas back in 2020:
- Environment
- Ethics
- Labour and human rights
- Sustainable procurement
After several in-depth audits and continuous improvement, we have meanwhile achieved Gold status in the EcoVadis rating. This makes us one of the most sustainable companies in the industry and we will continue to look for optimisation in the future. The accolade is the result of activities in all ESG areas, some of which we established several years ago before sustainability became a hot topic, including taking into account the environmental impact of our products, managing the buildings at our headquarters in an energy-efficient way and providing extensive initiatives and benefits for our employees.

We share our knowledge. For the benefit of all.
Members of senior management and other personnel at Julius Berger International have been lecturing regularly for many years at renowned universities and hold teaching positions. During these lectures, they regularly impart their knowledge to young students on the subject of building abroad – based on many years of practical experience as providers of Lead Designer Plus services.
We do more for our employees. Because they give more to us.
It has long been part of the Julius Berger philosophy to promote the health of our employees in the best possible way. To this end, our team is continuously developing first-class health awareness campaigns, with the support of professional partners, and we have established our own health centre with comprehensive sports and exercise programmes. Finding the right balance between work and family life also lies at the heart of what we do. This is why we offer flexible working hours and are very supportive when it comes to caring for children or dependants.
